Probation and Parole Project
Client Overview
The Probation and Parole Project in the Justice Lab at Columbia University is a leading voice advocating for a world where probation and parole are smaller and less punitive, and where resources are invested directly in communities in ways that advance collective efficacy, opportunity, and racial equity.
Challenges
The project team needed accessible, high-impact communications tools to help policymakers, organizers, and community members understand the bold reforms the program is proposing and the research that informs those reforms.
Solutions
We designed a research brief series that distills complex data into digestible, visually compelling formats. By integrating bold infographics, best practices for layout design, and plain-language framing, we helped amplify the call to radically reinvision probation and parole.
Outcomes
The materials have been widely shared by advocacy partners, legislators, and media outlets, contributing to a growing national conversation about the future of community supervision.
